Overview

DR-tree is a spatial access method for multidimensional rectangles. The system is able to store and manage ‘n’-dimensional rectangles, and specifically to insert new rectangles; delete existing rectangles; search for data rectangles that intersect a query rectangle; and search for pairs of data rectangles that are within a given distance. DR-tree 2 is an improved version of DR-tree in that it allows nearest neighbor searching.
